To
connect to the Server using SSH you will need a SSH Client. You can use PuTTY
which is a free SSH Client for Windows platforms.
To connect using SSH you need to specify the
below parameters:
* Host Name :
icannbudgetDOTorg
* Port : We run SSH on the
default port i.e. 22
* Protocol : SSH
Once you specify the above parameters and click
"Open / Connect" you will be connected to the server. If you are
connecting for the first time, then a Security Alert may pop up which would ask
you if you want to continue. Please select "Yes".
You will now need to enter your authentication
information:
* login as : You need to
enter your "Default Username" here and click the Enter key. Only
the "Default User" has SSH Access. This User has been provided to
you at the time your hosting package for icannbudgetDOTorg was created. All additional users, that are
created by you DO NOT have SSH Access to the Server.
* Password : You need to enter the
"Default User's Password" here and click the Enter key.
On logging in successfully, you would Land in the
Default Users Home Directory.
